LYRICS

If you are surrounded by darkness I will become your eyes
If you are so sad that you cannot say I will sing this song and convey it for you
If you realize it, then never forget that innocent smile
In difficult times, just being with you is enough

Soba ni ite, soba ni ite, soba ni ite,
Tatta hitori no kimi kawari nante inai kara
Shinjite, shinjite, shinjite,
Tatta hitotsu no MESSAGE donna ni hanarete mo todokeru,
I’LL BE THERE FOR YOU
Be by my side, be by my side, be by my side
The one and only you, because you are irreplaceable for me
I believe, I believe, I believe
Just one message from you: no matter how far we're apart, it will reach me,
I’ll be there for you

"Rakugaki darake no ONBORO no kabe
Soko ni tsume gomareta matowanu yume
no sekkeizu, mata ka sureteku ima mo boku no sasae no INOSENSU"
The old walls covered with graffiti
They holds the blueprints of unfulfilled dreams
Those leftover pieces are now the support of my innocence

Toki no nagare wa isogu bakari de hitoribocchi karamawari
Hayaku otona ni naritai nante sute zerifu no you ni itteta ne
Issho ni egaita takarasagashi no chizu
KENKA wo shite, kushakusha no manma hiki dashi no oku
Time goes by so quickly, all by myself and nothing has changed
I just want to be an adult soon, that's what I said back then
The treasure map we drew together
Where is it now inside the messy drawer,
since we parted after just a childish quarrel

Nakanaide, nakanaide, nakanaide,
Nando tachidomatte mo sono yume wa kobosanai de
Tsumazuite, tsumazuite, tsumazuite,
Michi wo miushinatte mo massugu hora aruite yukeba ii
Don’t cry, don’t cry, don’t cry
No matter how many setbacks are there, don’t lose your dream
You might stumble, stumble, stumble
Even if you lose sight of your way, just walk on bravely and everything will be fine

"Dare shitashinda machinami no naka wo
Hashiri nuke ai ni iku kimi no kao
Otagai no chigai kanji nagara mo
Kiseki wo kureta “PAFEEKUTO WAARUDO”
Kimi ga miseta namida, ano modokashisa
Tsuyoku naru ketsui ataete kureta
Ikutsu mono kisetsu wo koete
Oogoe de sakebi tsudzukeru kimi no NEEMU"
Through the familiar streets
I am running, searching for your face
Although we can sense each other’s difference
Miracles still happen in this perfect world
Seeing your tears was an uneasiness
That made me decide to become stronger
For the countless years after
I will keep calling out your name

Tsuki akari no nai yoru mo, kimi ga ite kureru nara, mou nani mo kowakunai
Kimi to ayunde kita michi, kakegae no nai hokori
Even at nights with no moon, as long as you are here with me there’s nothing to fear
The road I have walked on with you, is my irreplaceable proud

Soba ni ite, soba ni ite, soba ni ite,
Tatta hitori no kimi kawari nante inai kara
Shinjite, shinjite, shinjite,
Tatta hitotsu no MESSAGE donna ni hanarete mo todokeru,
I’LL BE THERE FOR YOU
Be by my side, be by my side, be by my side
The one and only you, because you are irreplaceable for me
I believe, I believe, I believe
Just one message from you: no matter how far apart, it will reach me,
I’ll be there for you

Nakanaide, nakanaide, nakanaide,
Nando tachidomatte mo sono yume wa kobosanai de
Tsumazuite, tsumazuite, tsumazuite,
Michi wo miushinatte mo massugu hora aruite yukeba ii

Don’t cry, don’t cry, don’t cry
No matter how many setbacks are there, don’t lose your dream
You might stumble, stumble, stumble
Even if you lose sight of your way, just walk on bravely and everything will be fine

Moshimo kanashimi de kotoba nakushite mo
Watashi ga uta ni shite tsutaeru kara
Even if you are so sad that you cannot say
I will sing this song and convey it for you

PERSONAL THOUGHTS

There are some -cause I'm certain it'd be more than one-, people in your life, that will stay in your heart and remain in your deepest memories till the last of your days. Who are the people that I'm refering to? The answer varies and depends on who's talking. You can be the cliche ones by saying that your boy/girl-friend a.k.a as your soulmate, you can be the social type by pointing out your closests BFFs, or you can be the philantropist who values every living being that you've seen everyday as ones. It's up to you. For me personally though, among the numerous people I've encountered throughout the year I've lived, there are those utmost precious people, that you could never replace, and those irreplaceable people are the ones I'm dedicating this song to.

I'm talking about parents, Moms and Dads around the world, and especially mine. 5 years ago, one of them was taken away from me, by fate. My Dad, passed away, unexpectedly due to stroke, and March 8th 2012 marked the 5th anniversary of his departure to heaven. Today, would've been his birthday if he's still around. Yes, Dad passed away only 2 days before his 2007's birthday, and it has since became the day that his empty body is returned to the earth: our final farewell with him in flesh. Time passed by so quick, and it's already 5 whole years since that charming smiley big guy delivered his final smiles for us. Although one might say, that time can mend a broken heart, they never said anything about how time can help you ease the pain or erase your fond memories with that person. I've struggled with my loss, and in a way, is still struggling now. What can I say, I felt that he was taken away too soon, especially for me who was only starting to be a grownup back then. Even up to now, I still think the same way. There are many times when I wish he would be here, to give me courage, or even to scold me so I can walk the right path. Those are wishful thinking now, but his words and his caring and the wisdom he taught me, stays true deep within me, and emerges during those time of needs.

This song came from the 2007's Doraemon Movie (which is a remake of the 1984's one), and it's the 5th Doraemon Movie theme songs that I've covered. The 6th Doraemon song though, cause I do have one on my sleeves unpublished as well. As I said on my previous post, this is a not SO-Shounen show song, since Doraemon is generally for every children and not just little boys, eventhough the main cast is a boy. I admit I kinda bend the theme a bit with this post, but hey, a special song is a must for a special memorial day, right? I couldn't find a shounen show song that fits the occasion anyway. After a marathon of Doraemon Movie during my internet hiatus earlier this year, I've decided to record more songs from the everlasting series, especially with how the movies have managed to captivate me so much. I was even thinking of making a Doraemon month, but perhaps later on.

In this movie, Doraemon helped Nobita's wish to enter the parallel world of magic through the means of the 'What If' phone booth. They eventually got involved into trouble with the attack of the Demon Planet that threatened to take over that world. In real life, the demon planet was actually a huge meteor which was about to strike earth. Nobita and his friends, lend their hands to help Mio whose father is a renowned magician (scientist in the real world) who had discovered the key to the mystery of the dark planet. As they got closer to saving the world, Mio eventually learnt the harsh true fate of her deceased mother who gave it all when she tried to save her only daughter in the past. As with all Doraemon movies, it's a beautiful and wonderful movie about friendship, and most of all, the strong bonds between you and your 'irreplacable' ones. It might be a kids show, but it would convey emotions to your heart, in a very touching way -unless you don't have a heart in the first place. They are more than what meets the eye.

I've finished recording this song way back in January, but decided to wait until the time is perfect for me to post it. Have I said that this is my first attempt of doing a RAP? The biggest problem and challenge preventing me from doing this song from years ago, is that it's a sibling duet, and the biggest task is the male RAP part performed by Miyake Mitsuyuki. Watching the movie again (for who knows how many times), boosted my spirit and I immediately go ahead, challenged and worked myself on the rap part. I'm not a fast talker, even in my native language, so it took me 2 days of no-kid focus to finally get the groove of the rap... and I miscounted the numbers of tounge bitting accident that slipped during the recording sessions hahaha. The result was quite good though, and after that I recorded Hiroko's part, the harmonizing and eventually finished the whole song.

The time has finally come to publish the song, as a special memorial tribute song. The song is speaking about those 'irreplaceable people' in your life, and how you'll cherished them for the rest of your life. It's a great depicting of Mio's memories for her deceased Mom, thus making me look back on my own journey with my Dad. His presence may not be around anymore, but I can still feel his warmth during my times of trouble. His smile may not be seen in flesh anymore, but I can still sense it on my dreams and my memories. This is what an 'Irreplacable Person' means, cause no matter what happened, no matter how very very far you are apart, no matter what situation or condition between you, you'll always remember them cause they have already and will always live on in your heart.

Who's your 'irreplaceable person'? You don't need to answer that, cause only your heart knows it... Thanks for listening, I hope you enjoy it... and I hope after listening to this, you'll cherish those 'irreplaceable' people of your life. Take some of your time, spend it with your loved ones as much as you can, especially when they are still around. Don't wait until something bad makes everything too late, cause you won't know what happens tomorrow or the day after. Trust me, regret always comes when everything has been said and done, I wish I could've given the best to my Dad when he was around, been there done that, so I hope you won't do the same mistake.

This one's for You Dad! Thanks for all the love that you gave me, and for being an 'irreplaceable' figure  in my heart... Till the day that we meet again!
